Our history
In Puglia, each olive tree is a chapter in the history of a family.
The story of Credo, L'Extra virgin olive oil produced by Procacci family it is a journey that has its roots in the authentic Apulian tradition. Credo it is a story of passion and commitment, which originated in the early 1900s and was handed down from generation to generation, becoming the beating heart of the family business.
Credo it tells of ancient olive groves that extend under the sky of Puglia, of lands fertile with olives and of the patient work of those who cultivate the land, waiting with devotion for that period of the year in which the harvest is concentrated.
Credo embodies the ancestral moment of the olive harvest, not so dissimilar to a handover, a real "relay" in which the father explains to his son and the grandfather to his grandson how to "shake" the trees with respect, allowing the olives to lay down on the ground to be collected in nets and gathered in boxes ready for milling.
Nice to meet you, I'm Matteo and this is my story. I am a mechanical engineer in love with my Puglia.
The attachment to my land and to traditions These are the factors that pushed me to want to enhance the family's oil. They call "green gold” but the truth is that the extra virgin olive oil it is more precious than gold itself, for example, for its richness in nutritional properties, or because it represents the pride of Made in Italy, and above all because it is a "binding" element of our tables, at the basis of every moment of conviviality and family sharing.
All these factors, mixed with strong emotions, have made my passion for family oil a "vocation", so much so that I wanted to call this gold: Credo! Hence the choice to venture into this new challenge and to want to share with you not only my oil, but also my own Credo!
